Kent Park Spring Classic

The Tubie Tootie 50k TT will be Sat. May 31 on the Black Diamond Rd. Take the Black Diamond Rd off Hwy 1 and go down to the first paved road on the right and park along the east shoulder (leave as much room as possible for farm machinery to get down this road). Registration will begin at 7:00 and first rider is off at 8:00. Cost is $13. Course is out and back and fairly flat. You may ride this TT solo or work with one other rider but will be scored as individuals at the finish.
Usual beer and baked goods as awards.

This Sat. May 17 will be the Thanks Jason RR at 8:00 am. The location has been changed from Ely to the Black Diamond RD in Iowa City. Registration will be at 7:00 am in the lot on the Rt. side of the road 4 miles from the intersection of Hwy 1 and Black Diamond Rd. This is an out and back 50k course. Cost is $13. Take exit #225 off I80 and go south to the first stop sign (IWV rd.). Registration is about 100 yds west of the stop sign in the old Hummer Trucking lot. Cost is $13. Usual beer, pies and baked goods for prizes.

In regards to anyone that helps make our events happen (excluding Bridget and myself) we will incorporate a points system that will involve them in the end of the series raffle for merchandise. Unlike the racers, you will not have to participate in half of the races to be included. (this includes any officials, corner marshals, turn around people, etc.) This will be retroactive to the first of the year. If you have been part of anything we have done so far, I have probably included you but please drop me a reminder. (Scott Fett, we need to know your girlfriend’s full name)
This will also include a free entry into the event if notified at least a day in advance.

This brings us to tomorrow’s race. We could use a person or two for a single corner or to drive my car as a follow car.
Just to be noted this is not an all day job, once the pack passes your corner, you are done.
At this point, we would even take Mr. Reed although your insistence on shouting out my advanced age or poor position is certainly not information that I am already painfully aware of. …gosh Chris is so quiet!
