Oops, the King is not dead afterall. Paul Deninger smashed his course record by over a minute with an amazing time of 48:42 over the 22 mile course.
Thanks to all the new riders who came out today. Riders saw perfect weather conditions for the final race of the Lisbon TT series.
Special thanks to Steve Evans for his extra donation to Miracles In Motion.
Scott, Sorry you couldn’t make it over, Rick Gritters is eating your pie

The results are all ready to be gawked at for the Thursday TT series. Anyone who has not attended a race at this point will get the full penalty for the first races, this is to save me a major headache, and you have no chance to win at this point anyhow. If it seems that you are doing so well it would change your chance at a drawing, I might go back and sort throught the minutes gained. Go check them out!
Sat. June 9 will be the final Lisbon TT. 22 miles. Cost is $13. First rider off at 8:00. Registration at 7:00 at the corner of Hwy 1 and F12. This is 6.4 miles south of Hwy 30 on Hwy 1 or 11.2 miles north of I80.
Usual beer, pies and baked goods for awards.
Saturdays race will be Scott Wall appreciation day. Scott and his teammates are invited to race free (except for the $50 in gas it takes to get over here). Scott automatically gets a pie if he shows… no big deal he always wins one anyway.
Hope to see you there tomorrow.

The King is dead. Last nights race revealed many things to me. With the cost of TT bikes today, alot of people won’t ride them in a tornado. The second thing is on a given day anyone can be beaten…this gives even me hope. Sean Walker beat Paul Deninger by 13 seconds. And third whereas when I do a TT, I found out at the end how I did and who I beat. After last nights race, Paul described to me the splits along the way starting from a 30 second league at the turnaround to slowly watching his lead taken back.
I have trouble concentrating enough to remember to breath. This must be like bleeding to death one drip of blood at a time. One thing is for sure, the King is not dead.
The most notable thing I learned is John Meehan is made out of something not available on any bicycle. He rode last night with one arm in an aero bar while holding the other arm loosely above it (because that arm is connected to a broken collar bone). The lesson is not only can he do a great Rodney Dangerfield, he is tough as hell.
The weather promises to be nice for Lisbon, so we hope to see you all out there. For all those going to TOMROV, have a great weekend.

I’m not sure if the TT will be held, I’ve not heard from Conn at the moment. Until further notice, use your own judgement, tonado warnings in the area would be a tad risky to say the least.
