Kent Park Spring Classic

Howdy all, this years race went great, thanks for braving the cold and making this a fun race, and raising a lot of money for a great charity. Results are up in the results section of this site.
Thanks so much to everyone that helped out today.

A few final notes:

Please bring water you need for the race, there is no water in the restrooms.

Parking lots close at 8:00 and don’t open till the race is finished, about 10 or so, limited parking will be near the entrance after 8 so get there in time.

Please be courteous to the park, don’t litter.

If possible, try and get your numbers by 8:00, it would just help a ton with getting things rolling along.

Most of all have fun, it’s a closed course but don’t get crazy, watch your wheels and stay upright, you can buy your own beer and pastries easier than a new bike and hospital bill.

You must be present for the after race raffle, I know it’s cold, but just do 1-3 more laps and wait for the goodies if you want in. Raffle prizes include stuff from these guys:

Atlas will be supplying gift certificates for the winners of selected categories, meaning, if there are only two in you category, you’re not getting one.

The list is now final, any further forms I get will not be added to the race. Sorry if you didn’t make it but I really need to stick with a limit to keep the park happy. The final list is up.

This years race is getting full, over 80 riders as of today. I’ll be closing up soon so make sure they are in the mail quickly.

Time to get out your envelopes and practice using the old fashion mail system again. The race is Sunday, March 27th, and spots will be limited to 100 so get your entries in. I’ll be closing registration at least 4 days before the event so don’t delay.

It’s time to start thinking about Kent Park 2011, I’m getting things all squared away with the park, get ready to send in those forms!

I just dropped off a check for $1,100 to the Children’s Center for Therapy, again thanks to all of you who raced, the entire team of Atlas and sponsors that made this race go so smooth.
